Summer has finally arrived in the North Country, complete with an unusual amount of thunder and lightning storms and variable weather. But, hey, I'm not complaining because...school's out for the summer and I'm lovin' it.
Now that I'm back from a week of visiting family, swimming, and enjoying the grandkids, cousins, sisters, Dad, and all, it's time to settle into my busy, and much enjoyed summer routine of relaxing, creating, and catching up. Oh yeah, and zapping some of those tolerations we talked about a few months ago - clutter, dirty windows...
July Wellness Challenge - Connect with NatureSummer is the perfect time to get outdoors and experience the natural world. This month's article includes tips for enhancing your feelings of being connected with nature, which I believe is vital for health and well-being. Also see photos of four common medicinal herbs you may have growing nearby. Read and share your experiences with this challenge here. Which herbs grow by you?

Summer Aromatherapy TipWant to cool off with aromatherapy? Try this: Put 10-25 drops of peppermint essential oil in a spray bottle with purified water. Store in the refrigerator to maximize the cooling effect. Spritz yourself whenever you need it. Try it on your hot feet! Or spritz a hand towel soaked in cool water and drape around your neck. Smells good and clears your head, too(so to speak).
Website UpdatesOur website has been updated for mobile apps and horizontal navigation to make it easier for you to navigate with smartphones and tablets.
Several pages have also been updated. An important update is the Healing Foods Page which has an important video by William Li about Eating to Starve Cancer. Very interesting. Because of what I learned on his video I am now drinking more Earl Grey tea.
