Table of Contents1 - A Note from Val - One Year Thoughts2 - We Want to Hear from You! 3 - Additional Resources - Herbs and Health A Note from Val - One Year ThoughtsIt's hard to believe, but it's almost one year since the Holistic Mindbody Healing Site was launched in cyberspace! If you've been a member for over a year, you know this is a big leap from the "baby site" we started with. We're now over a hundred members strong, with 150 pages on-site. I really appreciate you being here through all the growth and transitions. I'm not very good at "waxing mushy or sentimental", but I do want to say that you are important to me. That's why I'm here and doing my best to make Holistic MindBody Healing a leading edge resource. It's my goal to offer you objective, commonsense information and techniques that helps you take positive steps for your own health. I know firsthand that facing a health challenge can be scary. And knowing that conventional medicine alone was just addressing my symptoms and not the cause was even scarier. Thanks to holistic practices, along with medical care, I've seen health issues improve and heal in myself and others. Learning and sharing about holistic healing has been my passion for years. To experience it becoming a reality through this site and other avenues is humbling and exciting. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the future holds and how this all unfolds. A big part of what makes this journey so valuable and meaningful is that we can partner with each other. That's where you come in. We Want to Hear From You!In order for me to know which direction to take the site and for us to build a members community, I'm asking and encouraging you to participate at whatever level is right for you. Here's how:First, please fill out the members interest and needs survey. This will only take a few minutes. You may be surprised how your answers help you clarify what you need. This helps me know what you want to see more of on the site. One of the main reason I took the leap to this new site is because of the Content 2.0 feature. It lets members and visitors add their own community pages. This may sound daunting, but it's very easy. You just type and submit. Your entry can be as short as a paragraph or two, or as long as a full page! This feature gives us the benefit of being able to support, share and learn from each other. This is truly how we learn best and help each other heal. Right now there are three community pages. Write one page or all three! Holistic Healing Books - Tell us about your favorite, most helpful book(s) and share some tips from it. There's a short outline you can follow to make it quick and easy for you. If you already read one of the books featured, add to that page in the comments area. Stress Relief Tips - Since stress of some kind is behind many health problems, I put up quite a lot of info about stress on the site. We'd love to hear your favorite tips and stories about how you beat stress too. Your Words of Gratitude - Gratitude is immensely healing to your spirit and opens doors for manifesting your health and life goals. Share your gratitude stories here. Members Sharing Space - This area is open only to members. You can ask questions, introduce yourself, ask for help with your wellness concerns, and share your healing wisdom and knowledge with other members. Post comments - when you comment, people feel heard and validated. It also helps you connect and think more deeply about a topic. We learn from each other and everyone benefits. Comment on any of the community or members sharing pages and on the blog posts at TapInfinity.com where you'll find many of the featured ezine articles. Another way you can participate is by spreading the word. If you like the site or a specific page, use the social media buttons at the bottom of a page to pass it on. Do you have friends or family who are sick of the present health/disease care status quo and want tools to enhance their own wellness? Great! Feel free to pass along your ezines and invite them to join us.
Additional ResourcesIn a few weeks, you'll receive another 'regular' ezine. In the meantime, you may want to peruse the site again to see the many new updates.Herb lovers- there's now a new primer called Herbs and Health that consolidates all the herb pages on the site into one area. As always, looking forward to your feed back and wishing you the best of health. Val Silver http://www.holistic-mindbody-healing.com |
