A Note from Val

It sure was great having my family around last week. For a few days we had four generations under one roof. I'm not used to the constant activity of toddlers so they wore me out a bit!

It was so cute watching two-year old Collin carefully hold wild raspberries in his little hands so he could share with Mom and Dad. He didn't squish even one of them. Scouring the roadside for berries is one of my favorite things to do this time of year. Only mine go right in my mouth!

Thinking about this series, it makes me wonder about which 'vulnerable genes' the boys received and which beliefs they are internalizing. They're such little sponges! Hopefully there's a lot more positive than negative.

Featured Article -Limiting Belief #1 - I'm a Victim of My Genes

Not long ago scientists thought that our genes were 'fixed'. They believed that certain diseases ran in families. We were led to believe that if our parents had heart disease, cancer, or diabetes that we were destined to have it too...(Read more...)

Quick Health Tip - What's in Your Water Bottle?

In this hot weather, there can be more in there than just water. And it isn't good stuff.

Avoid using plastic bottles in your car where they can heat up. The heat reacts with chemicals in the plastic and releases them into the water. This is also true of frozen water in plastic bottles. BHP in the bottles is a hormone disruptor. Dioxin is a toxin increasingly found in breast cancer tissue. Use stainless steel or glass instead.

Also, don't use plastic containers in the microwave or plastic wrap which can drip dioxin into your food, especially when the foods contain fat. Use glass, ceramics or paper containers and covers.

Additional Resources - The Biology of Perception

In this video series, Dr. Bruce Lipton explains how cells receive and respond to signals from their environment. This is a scientific discussion, but he explains it in a way that's easy to understand. A 'must watch' if you want to know how to influence your cells, and therefore your mind and body, for health.

Find it in the Members Area under Bruce Lipton videos.

Special Event - Personal Peace Group

This is the last call if you want to sign up for the life-changing Personal Peace Group starting August 1st. If you're in the Watertown, NY area and want to join us, check out the details here.

Watch for issue 16 in two weeks featuring the second very common limiting wellness belief- "It's Not Safe for Me to Get Well."

Until then blessings and healing energy,

Val Silver
