Subconscious Mind Healing Techniques

My family had this ritual to make pain go away when we were kids. I did the same with my children. We would "kiss it to make it better." It didn't always work, but more often then not, it seemed to help!
As adults we have our rituals for healing as well. We pray, go to the doctor and the pharmacy, have surgeries, or stay home and eat chicken soup. We take pills and potions or follow certain rules. The body is also better able to bring healing to the parts that were holding tension. Visualization and Affirmations - When used correctly these techniques help shift your beliefs. Visualizing is powerful since the subconscious communicates through images. Many techniques use visualization and affirmations as part of their process. Hypnosis - Hypnosis is commonly used for weight loss, smoking cessation and stress relief. There are many quality audios available with scripts that match your specific needs. Hypnosis relaxes you so that suggestions can make their way into the subconscious. Guided visualization is similar to hypnosis. Cancer patients listen to guided imagery CDs to improve their immune systems and reduce symptoms of chemotherapy with good results. Brain wave entrainment - This technique is getting popular as a "substitute" for meditation. The audio guides you to brainwave levels that are conducive to relaxation, suggestions and healing. Meditation - Getting into a relaxed, focused meditative state increases the chances that your new suggestions and images will be received by the subconscious. Guided wellness meditations are readily available. Subconscious mind healing is as old as man. Harnessing this healing power of the mind is a new frontier for modern medicine.
