Greetings from Val

Happy June!

Yay-Less than two more weeks before “school’s out for the summer!” I’m looking forward to relaxation, fun, family time and getting some put-off things done. Top of list for this summer’s tasks are making headway on my new book, more updates on the website, and some neglected cleaning and organizing. On the fun side, there’s books to read, day trips with hubby, family time, bike riding, walks, the beach. Of course, balance is a bit of an issue for me. I tend to work too much and play to little, but I'm "working" on that. Did I mention I love summer?

Dump Your Head Trash-Mental/Emotional Spring Cleaning

Time to dump the head trash. Yes we all have some. And just like clutter that accumulates around the house, head trash has a way of building up in our psyches. You know-the daily stresses, grudges, limiting beliefs, guilt trips, and excuses that hold you back and make you miserable.

You may be able to ignore your physical junk drawer, but your mental junk drawer is always with you, always influencing you. Head trash causes a level of stress you may not even be aware of. Add this to life’s routine stresses and it all becomes quite disrupting to your health and peace of mind.

This month, I encourage you to take the opportunity to spring clean mentally and emotionally. Pick just one or two thought patterns to upgrade and make it happen. If you feel really inspired to clean emotional house, do a “clean sweep” with the personal peace procedure. It will catapult you to greater emotional freedom and help you feel healthier, happier and energetically lighter.

We have a lot of information on-site about mental/emotional healing. I don’t want to overwhelm you-(ahh- stress-next month's topic), so I’ve chosen two pages to get you started. As always, take responsibility for your well-being. Very traumatic memories are best released with the help of a skilled practitioner or mental health provider. If you try a technique on your own and find yourself going into distress, stop.

1-Are you ready to reduce and eliminate head trash that keeps you stressed and limited? If so, the following principles and techniques will show you how to relieve mental stress caused by holding onto long-held limiting beliefs, past negative situations and emotionally charged self talk patterns. Continue reading here

2-In the personal peace procedure, you list everything you can think of from childhood to present day that was in the least bit disturbing or traumatic for you. If it crosses your mind, write it down. Once you have your list of 50 or more events, use EFT tapping daily on one or two items until the list is finished. Besides tapping, you can also use these emotional release techniques to shift and release disturbing emotions and ‘stinkin-thinkin'. Do watch the Abraham-Hicks video on this page. It's a simple but powerful technique to shift to better feeling thoughts quickly.

Upcoming Event-SpringForest QiGong

Reminder: The very popular six day Spring Forest QiGong Healing Fest is being offered for the last time starting June 20th. If you are curious about this type of healing and want to experience Master Chunyi Lin's program for free, go for it now.

Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that works with your body's energy, or "chi." As Richard Gerber, M.D., puts it, "…by moving Qi through the body, you can heal yourself of many ailments." Qigong promotes healing by inducing focused relaxation and energy balancing of mind and body.
