Osteoarthritis - I Want to Walk Again
by Jennifer
The osteoarthritis is mostly in my knees-stiffness-5plus-and difficult to walk without walker/cane.
As you said that you did not offer any medical advice-but I would maybe get some insights re OA
on the forum. Since holistic healing involves "mindbody"-I thought I might gather some good advice.
So far I have done:
1-"Distant Healing"
2-Vitamins/cartilage-joint repair
3-Acupuncture on a weekly basis
4-Dietary changes to lose weight
4-Rheumatologist-who was an allopath, and wrote a prescription for "Celebrex".Now that is wierd as one of the side effects is "Sudden Death"-ha-ha--
Are there specific healing modalities for this specific condition? I want to walk again without a walker or cane.
I am looking for a 'miracle' as osteoarthritis
is a degenerative disease which I had since 2005(6yrs).
Hope to get a reply, thank you.
All the best-Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for writing in with your question. I'm hoping for that 'miracle' with you. Be open to it coming in any way.
I know several people who got their 'miracle' in the form of artificial knees (or hips). For others, persistent tapping with EFT has brought significant pain relief. Others swear by a variety of natural remedies.
One popular remedy I've seen (we have a friend who swears by this) is a daily concoction of 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar with the mother, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup or honey, and a cup or more of water.
Dr. Jarvis says this works because it assists with calcium metabolism and rids the body of calcium buildups which cause pain. It is alkalizing and aids digestion.
The herb Devil's Claw has a good reputation for reducing arthritis pain.
Glucosamine Sulfate may also be helpful but you have to allow at least 2-3 months to see if it helps you.
Another remedy I've been hearing more about that seems very promising is cetyl myristoleate. There's an article by Drs. Charles Cochran and Raymond Dent that talks about the merits of this product so long as you follow the guidelines.
To summarize what I've read: Studies showed that 12-15 grams taken over the course of a month along with 2-3 grams of fish oil a day, some Vitamin E, and 100 mg of lipase enzyme to aid absorption was effective over 80% of the time (compared to less than 205 for placebo). They say you also have to limit or eliminate caffeine, alcohol, carbonated beverages and minimize sugar. Some people need to add another month of this protocol.
For mindbody support, you might find the Emotional Freedom Technique and/or visualization with emotion helpful. Get into a relaxed state and see and feel yourself walking easily in your mind's eye for a few minutes once or twice a day.
Your subconscious mind can't tell the difference between reality and imagination so the results may surprise you. I was able to get more range of motion after just a few days of doing this.
You can read more about both of these techniques on site. There are several EFT videos and audios in the members area.
Please keep us posted on what you try and how it goes for you.
Val
